First Row: Cleft to Right, Mrs. Elma Pintek, sponsor, Mr Carl Dornan, sponsor, Carol Hrabcsak, secretary. Second Row: Robert O'Hare, vicespresidentg Thomas McVerry, treasurerg Gerald Lowery, president. l, 10-it The year, 1951, was highlighted when we entered-a little frightened, a little excited- into eighth grade home rooms led by Mary Lou Miscovey and Richard Morgan, who received the eighth grade awards presented by the Cecil American Legion. Our freshman year was a ioyous one when Jerome Boak and Marlene Pogachnick were elected King and Queen. ,They were loyally supported by their attendants, Donald Hindman and Rosalie Smialek. The important task of our sophomore year was electing class officers, who were Donald Crosson, president and Gerald Lowery, secretary-treasurer. The most exciting event of 1953 was our sophomore party, which was a tremendous success. It was entitled Mardi Gras. Juniors now! We were upper-classmen and ready to do the work of an adult! At this time Gerald Lowery was elected president and assisting him were Palmer Restaneo, vice-president, Carol Hrabcsak, secretary and Robert O'Hare, treasurer. The most talked about event this year was the selection of our class rings, followed closely by our junior play, Campus Quarantine. Who will ever forget the gala iunior party, Junior Jump? The year was brought to a close by the overwhelming success of our unforgettable junior prom entitled Starlight Ball. Seniors at last! To some of us it was the end of our destination, to many of us it was a step further in our career. This gigantic and all important year was sprung open by the traditional election of class officers. This significant task was fulfilled by Gerald Lowery, president, Robert O'Hare, vice-president, Carol Hrabcsak, secretary and Thomas McVerry, treasurer. Will the ex- citement ever die down from our class presentation of Take Your Medicine, a farce in three acts? Immediately following was our senior record dance, Autumn Leaves. Hats off to our co-chairmen, William Cass and Marlene Meade, for their extraordinary delightful presentation. Jingle bells and mistletoe added to the season's yuletide when we danced semi-formally at Blue Christmas, our senior Christmas dance. A new addition was the selection of Snow King and Queen, Gerald Lowery and Rosalie Smialek. Slowing down the pace a bit, we prepared our- selves for the long awaited evening of our senior banquet. What fun we had! The serious- ness of it all was carried over to the day of graduation. Our last walk down the unending aisle of Cecil High School will be forever embedded in our minds. We are pleased to have been a part of Cecil High and feel fully prepared to face whatever life holds in store for us. 16
