OWAHGEN A 1945 Cazenovia Central School DANIEL C. COOK Trustee 33 years Board member 15 years; Board president 1933-1944 APPRECIATION In recognition of forty-eight years devoted to the promotion of education. The Class of 1946, Cazenovia Central School, rises in behalf of our entire school community to acknowledge with gratitude a lasting service, worthy, loyal, human. For Mr. Cook we wish many years to enjoy happy memories of a task well done. SYMBOL OF SERVICE An Interpretation by The Class of 1946 OUR HONOR ROLL The Class of 1943 presented to Cazenovia Central School o gift of money for the purpose of establishing a permanent Honor Roll of our boys and teachers who serve in the armed forces of the Second World War. It wos immediately decided to preserve in murol form this service record. The east woll of the School lobby at once offered o prominent and appropriate place for this most worthy project, o space I 5 feet in length and 10 feet in height. Progress to dote offers evidence that on unusually excellent task has been undertoken. O -7 t 1 c-n-r Above is a photographic reproduction of the 28 by 48 inch sketch from which the Honor Roll is being created and enlarged to proper proportions. It should be noted, however, that much of the life and detail of workmanship is lost by the camera and the press. The artist, Robert Stanley, Jr., '45, has been working on the project for two years, and is not only fulfilling the hope of the Class of 1943 but is leaving a gift of his own to Cazenovia Central School. The project has been under the direction of Mr. Bailey of the Art Department. ROGER M. CLOUSER will be replete with satisfaction, friendship and inspiration, The Class of 1946 respect- fully dedicates Owahgena 1945 to Roger M. Clouser. BOARD OF EDUCATION LEON D. '‘'On THE SEASON Prospects for a successful grid- iron season were rudely jolted by the polio epidemic. As o result, most of the scheduled games were can- celed. Of the two contests played, one resulted in a 12-6 victory over Sherburne and one in a 7-7 tie with Oneida. It is regretted that over twelve members of the squad who will be lost through graduation were un- able to enjoy a complete gridiron season in their final year. Yet there still remains a group of Juniors ond Sophomores who will furnish excel- lent representation for Cazenovia next fall.
