r , ' v LCDR EARNHARDT THE XO ' S Upon commissioning in June 1963 he was ordered to NATTC Glynco, GA. to attend the Combat Information Center Officers School. He was then ordered to USS GUADALCANAL (LPH-7) where he served as assistant CIC Officer. His next assignment was to the USS WILLIS A. LEE (DL-4) as MPA. After attending Destroyer School, he was ordered to the USS BASILONE (DD-824) as Engineer Officer. He then spent 3 years aboard the USS BOSTON (CAG-1) as the Electronic Warfare Officer and then as MPA. He was then assigned to the USS YANCEY (LKA-93) as the Engineer Officer. After a tour of shore duty with the CNO ' s Shore Establishment Realignment Project and attending advance language training at Monterey, CA. he was assigned as an Advisor in Vietnam. His next major tour of duty was onboard USS CHICAGO (CG-11) as Engineer Officer. After detach- ment from CHICAGO, he reported to the Pacific Fleet Propulsion Examining Board as an Examiner on the 600 PSI Propulsion Exam- ining Boa I ' d. LCDR EARNHARDT is married to the former Mary Jo SUDDERTH of Atlanta, GA. They have 3 children. Jay 15, Jeff 13, and Judi 11. They reside in San Diego, California. LCDR KREFT
