simon TRI P One of the big events in the Cayuga Seniors' Calendar of Activities is the Senior Trip. This year, the Seniors are going to their Nation's Capital for the memorable occasion. They will leave Cayuga on May 30, to return June LL. Enroute they will travel through Indianapolis, Columbus, Ohio, Zanesville, where the worlds only Y Bridge is crossed, and Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The second day they will travel on the famous Pennsylvania Turnpike, sight-see at Gettysburg and Frederick, and arrive at Washington, D. C., this evening. In and around Washington, the group will tour many places of interest including the Capitol, F. B. I., Bureau of Engrav- ing, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Smithsonian Institute and other places of note. They will visit Mt. Vernon, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Lee's Mansion, National Masonic Shrine, Municipal Airport, and Annapolis Naval Academy. The return trip will bring the class back across the mountains, through West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana. CLASS PROPI-IECY In the year of 1963, my husband and I decided we needed a maid, so we put an ad in the paper. To my surprise Elsie Wigley answered the ad, consequently we talked over old times. We decided to go to Don and Mary Stevenson's Drug Store for a coke. As we were talking with them, I found out that Doris Barker is now a movie actress in Hollywood. while watching television we saw Gene Weir, who is now boxing champ- ion, on his regular T. V. show from 10 to ll o'cloak. We heard that Gerald Adams is now playing fullback for the Chic- ago Bears. Susanne Neild is a missionary in India. . Iris Axtell is a nurse for Dr. Donald Kendall. Jack Mathews has become a famous jet pilot in the Air Force, while Jimmy LeClaire is a Seaman, First Class in the Navy. Judy Ashley has a position as secretary in Chicago where she has been residing for quite some time. Sharron Yoho is a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company, and Laura Ellis is a beauty operator. Elsie had a letter recently from Lanore and Dale Morgan who are now living on a large ranch in Texas. We also learned that Malcolm Deverter is running a gas station in Newport. As we finished our talk about the class of '53, we were sorry to learn that the last one, George Hooton, was still roaming the streets of Cayuga looking for a position.
