YQ' Mr. Con A. Davis Mr. Davis graduated from King College, Bristol, Tennessee, in 1936 and received his Master's Degree in Education from V.P.I. in l955. Before coming to Cave Spring Hi h, he coached football and basket baigl at William Fleming High School in Roanoke. He had previously coach ed at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia, and also at McCallie Prep School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Davis, an ardent supporter of all Cave Spring activities, will hold a high place in our fond memories of Cave Spring High School. We will long remember his guidance, his help, and his interest in each of us. Mr. Verner Crush, Assistant Principal Mr. Crush served as a teacher and coach in Montgomery County for five years, was head basketball and baseball coach at Andrew Lewis High School in Salem, Virginia, and was principal of Mount Vernon Ele- mentary School, before his appoint- ment to the office of Assistant Prin- cipal of Cave Spring High School in July 1959. He spent his high school years at Fincastle High in Fincastle, Virginia. During the war years of 1942-1945, he served in the Navy Air COTPS After the war, he con- tinued his education at Roanoke College where he received his Bache- lor of Science Degree with a maior in history and a minor in govern- ment. In 1958, he was awarded a Mas- ter of Education degree from V.P.I. A very important and vivid memory of Cave Spring High School will be our memory of Mr. Crush. An able administrator and a good friend - this is our Mr. Crush.
