Senlor Class Hlstory It was 1n the fall of 'b8, that 51 Rockers landed on a h1lls1de 1n a small vllla e called Cave In Rock Th1s eager group hoped to end thelr Journey after four years of labor When we started on our flrst Journey we had the followlng to lead us B111 Logan, Betty Vaughn and Velda Tadlock, under the d1rect1on of Mr Oxford I don't thlnk any Rocker w1ll forget October 13, l9b8 Freshman 1n1tat1on when we Journeyed down to the Park for a p1cn1c glven to us, by the oenlor class Even though we d1d look l1ke a bunch of hobo's we enJoyed ourselves very much and w1ll never forget that very SQ9C1al day As our Journey was vettlng rather tlresome, we stopped for a few 3Ct1V1t1GS Our class was rather large, so lt was d1v1ded 1nto two sectlons NA and B W Even though the classes were d1v1ded there always seemed to be a frlendly understandlng between everyone The two clubs that were chosen for entertaln ment was 'Club Utopla' and The Varlety Club H Imogene Cox was candldatc of the ball team Our class had the honor of presentlng Mona Lou Garland for cheerleader, and we all feel she has dld a swell Job When we renewed our Journey 1n August, l9A9, we found that 9 of our Rockers had become dlsheartened and dropped out, but we added Patsy Ledbetter and V1v1an Mllllgan As t1me went on we re elected our past offlcers B111 Logan, Betty Edwards and Velda Tadlock to gulde us on our second Journey After we had Journ yed for awhlle we declded to stop for a l1ttle entertalnmcnt we organlzed a new 3CtlV1ty, Club '52, the offlcers were as follows Chas Cox Pres Velda Tadlock Sec Thls year we ar proud to present Imogene Cox for B B Queen Laura Barnard our candldate made a lovely attendant I 0 I o fr 3 1 0 ' . ? Senlor H1StOTY Contd We aga1n had the honor of hav1ng Nona Lou as cheerleader Last, but not least, we honor our bophomore basketball team, Gary Fra1ley and B1ll Logan We once aga1n beg n our Journey 1n August, 1950 under the d1rect1on of Mrs James Frayser We elected the fOl1OW1Hg off1cers for our class Pres Chas Cox VICE Pres B111 Logan ec Imogene Drumm lreas V1rg1n1a Belt We had four more Rockers that had dropped out Velda Tad lock, Peggy and Marv1n Cra1g and Opal Smlth, of all whom we hated to lose We galned one new member, Barbara Shewmaker. e organ1zed our club for the year the nJolly Junlors' with the OfPlC9PS as follows Pres B1ll Logan S c K Tr s Imogene Cox At the start1ng of the second semester we took over the WProgressn wlth Imogene Cox as GdltOT. Laura Barnard our JUDIOT cand1date made a very beautlful B B Queen and we were all pleased with her h8V1Hg the honor Our class has been rather fortunate to present a queen for the past three years Also we want to mentlon our B B players B111 Logan and Gary Fra1ley, who have done a swell Job th1s year We had several 3Ct1Vlt1CS to ga1n funds to put on a ban quet for the JGDlOPS The theme of the banquet was nMSX1C8H F1esta ' I th1nk everyone engoyed themselves very much We honor our cheerleader, Mona Garland who has been cheer leader for the past three years Also we don't want to forget our class r1ngs I thlnk every Rocker 1S very fond of h1s r1ng, as they are much d1fferent from prevlous years On our fourth and f1nal Journey, the Rockers chose the follow1ng to lead us, under the d1P6CtlOn of Mrs R1ggS Pres B111 Logan V108 Pres W nda Hooten 0 .
