This year, the speech team, under the supervision of Mrs. Joyce Baldwin, participated in district and state competition. Connie Morrison, in the original oration division, attended the state contest at Carrington with her piece called Make Happiness Your Habit. At the district speech contest, besides Connie's presentation, Joyce johnson read Where Did You Put the Aspirinsn in the humorous division and Rodger Kemp spoke in the extemporaneous division. Candis Hartje and Zelda Vaughn presented pieces for the serious interpretation and serious readying divisions respectively.
