The Tornadoes compiled a perfect record on the home field with four wins. The game with Walhalla was the most exciting home contest as Walhalla was only seven points behind and had control of the ball on the Cavalier 10-yard line with only seconds left to play. Although the Walhalla team made a strong bid for the score, the Tornado defensive line held fast. The rest of the home games were won by large margins. Parker Williams was the leading ground-gainer scoring 14 touchdowns for a new school record. He also set a new high school career record with 284 points. W 5 A fiiff 5 ! fi l I i l ,-H in ,I , . The theme was also emphasized by the colors chosen and by the mural depicting a sidewalk cafe. But we have enjoyed almost every minute of planning layouts, typing copy, and glueing pictures. A special thanks is due to Mr.. Roy Kleven, who provided most of the pictures, and to Mrs. Whalen, our advisor whose ideas and critical eyes were a big help throughout the year. As you have paged through this book, we hope you have had many happy recollections and that you will con- tinue to remember this year every time you open THE 1965 CA VA LIER. Q1
