Throughout the 1963 season, the Tornadoes compiled a record of 3 wins and 6 losses. Although the recorddoes not show a too successful season, four out of the six losses were by margins of less than two points. The leading scorer of the year was Parker Williams with a total of 54 points. Williams, a halfback, was also voted most valuable hack. Bob Greenwood was next in line with 48, John Elgert, fullback with 42, and Lynn Hartje, quarterback, with 32. Probably, the best team effort put out bythe squad was against Grafton which was the last game of the season. The Tornadoes out-gained the Spoilers in yardage and also in first downs compiling a total of 250 to the Spoiler's 130, and 14 first downs to 11 for the Spoilers. The wrestling team had a fair season this year. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage the team faced was lack of experience. The team was composed of all underclassmen.
