FLAQS UF 1938 T A MEI: UNC' held in September 1937 the class destined to be the 'Seniors of 1938 elected their ofhcers James Wake was chosen president Robert Bartlow xice president Jewell Brown secretary and Margaret M Bailey treasurer Ceorge Bird and Dorothy Gowin were chosen Student Council Members Many honors went to this class of forty three students the second largest ever to graduate from Clattaraugus High In all outside activities they were well represented Members of the class helped to make up championship teams in Basketball Baseball and Tennis john Gold became State President of the IT F A and Herman Lorence jr held up the scholastic standing with an average of 97 72 The high light of the year was a five clay trip to Washing ton made possible through the efforts of the class and the excellent support gn en by the townspeople to all class actiyities The Seniors of 1938 wish to take this last opportunity to thank the many 'Vlrs 'Xlellie O Tarbox and 'vlr Ernest I-I Truby they wish to express their sincere gratitude for the helpful adxice and friendly interest gn en them not only last year but throughout the four happy years in C' H S ROBERT BARTLOXX 6 1 y .
