Our flrst year m hlgh school and what a year' Mr Sanders IS nearlv exhausted The Freshmen have contributed qulte a blt of honor to dear old C H S m the lme of athletlcs Three of our boys Lee Brlggs Leland Austln and Charley Bates earned varslty letters ln Soccer Rlchard Loomls earned a squad letter whlle Charley Brown and Frank Perly helped on the team when needed Lee Brlggs Leland Austln and Lynford Gregory earned squad numerals ln Basketball Many Freshmen have gone out for Baseball Thev are Gaylord TenEyck Leland Austln Rlchard Loomls Burton Adams Charley Bates Char ley Brown and Roland Barber Severtl are expected to obtam let ters We also have glrls and boys mterclass basketball teams 'Ihc boys are dlvlded 1nto two teams the Frosh V3lbltV and Frosh Reserve The varsxty came out second m the league and the reserve flfth I our girls mterclass team we dldn t dxstmgulsh ourselves much but we have the hang of the thmg and expect to cover ourselves wlth glory next vear We dont only develop our b0dl6S phvslcally but also ment ally The Freshmen are qulte xmpressed Wlth the new departments Several have taken up Agrlculture and Commerclal courses Some of the Frosh are glfted as actors and have parts ln the Dramatlc Club enterta1nments We havent been very actlve ln the social lme for our somber Presldent doesn t belleve small chlldrcw should Indulge In such thmgs And so th1s youthful but rather efctraordmary class blds you good bye untll they are sophomores and reallv have somethlng mterestmg to tell about themselx es They also wlsh the Senlors long and pros perous lives POST GRADUATE Last September when we started school there were ten Post fm shed thelr work ln January some found work Csomewhere elsej and others moved away About a month after we began school we organlzed our class lola Colllns was elected President and Elsle Slpe was elected Secre tary We thought we wouldn t need a Treasurer We also elected our student council member Els e Slpe The Post Graduates as a class haven t done any thmg defmlte thlfixvear but they have one good quallty the quallty of stlckmg to get er The Post Graduates also have a hablt of roammg around the school bulldlng there IS generally one ln the Llbrlarv one or two ln the Commercial Room and there are alwavs a few roammg around ln search of knowledge We keep xery well posted on the thmgs gomg on ln the school and if any one wants to know some news he can ask Post Graduate But for all our faults we Post Grads have a few good pomts For xnstance we act dlglllfled to encourage the under classmen who are so apt to lmltate our ways We also are xery studlous We always get our lessons and work hard so we may be able to be a good ex emple to the younger boys and glrls as when we pass any of the underclassmen fespeclallx Semorsl they all whlsper and say There goes one of the Post Graduates Some day I hope to be as smart dlgnlfled and studlous as they IQQZ .fn ....,u,.:.,: .
