f A CA TTA RA UGA N H .- DRAMATIC C I UB DRAMATIC CLUB NEWS The Dramatlc Club was orgamzed December 1 1931 chooslng for 1ts offlcers Presldent Roman Granms Vlce Pres1dent Mary Brock Secretary Margorxe Ashton Treasurer Durland Cady The purpose of thls club was for' the students to learn more about dramas and the productxon of plays by actual experxence The mem bers not only haxe acted ln plays but also have alded ln presenting the plays by dlrectmg castlng helpmg arrange stage settings Plays have been glven at each monthly meetmg two were pre sented ln Assembly and the greatest accompllshment was the publxc entertamment glven 1n May Three one act plays were presented namely Sacrlflce Romance of Chma and Evldence The play whlch was voted the best nn the op1n1ons of ten Judges was the Ro mance of Chma Thls play was sent to Ithaca on the funds recexv ed from the entertalnment to compete III the state wxde contest of Dramatlcs The remainder of the money was glven to the hlgh school for purchasmg scenery capable management of our Engllsh teacher Mlss Macl ean JUNIOR SENIOR PROM The second annual Jumor Semor Prom was held Frlday June 10th The banquet was served at 7 o clock xn the M E Church Flowers were used as decoratlons After the banquet Mr Whlte the Semor advlsor Mlss Lattm Jumor advlsor MISS Buddenhagen the departmg teachers the Semor Presldent Mxlton E Knopp Mr Frost and Mr Sanders gave speeches At the concluslon of the banquet program we journeyed to the Hlgh Q1-hool Audltorlum where we danced from 9 to 12 The muslc was furnxshed by Cllff Dawson s Rythm Orchestra W ' 2.232 I I 1 : I l 7 : 9 I , I : . .
