We are learning to prmt our names and make numbers Goodbye, Kindergarten Girls and Boys FIRST GRADE NEWS We had a farm on our sand table for the Exhibit Now we are going to have a circus on the sand table have a tent and some wagons We like a circus They do funny things in a circus They have ani mals and clowns in a circus The clowns stand on their heads and make us laugh SECOND GRADE NEWS We have been domg many interest ing things this year the latest thing was being plckanlnnles in the grade pageant Childhood Days of Wash mgton Our wild flower chart ls full of flowers and our bird chart is almost lu oo We are havlng a flower show this week Come ln if you wlgh to see some June flowers James Robertson and Alberta White brought Luna Moths to show the class one day Milo Lent found a moth and several other people have brought some common butterflles and moths 0-1-O THIRD GRADE NEWS We have been working hard this Year but have had a good time also We acted as plckanlnnles in he Grade Entertainment We have been in assemblies before all the grammar school Miss Brown is our teacher and we luke her ever so much 0- -0 FOURTH GRADE NEWS Its nice to be in the Fourth Grade Norhmg very important has happened this year but we re learning a lot f new lhillgs Several of us have been out of school sick this year Our teacher Miss Hoag fxxed us up as In dlans for the Grade Entertainment I thunk lt was fun to be an Indian also we made pretty ones Oi FIFTH GRADE NEWS lgglie came to school on September 3 When school opened we only had twenty two pupils We now have twenty four In November we prepared for a play The day we had the play we got up a book club, entitled The Good Book Club December 23, 1931 we had our Chrlstmas Party We went home that afternoon very happy for two weeks vacatlon, which passed very quickly We came back in January 1932, all fresh fox more school SIXTH GRADE NEWS The Sixth Grade formed a club call ed The Good Sportsmanship Club at the beginmng of the year BY mean! of class dues we were able to purchase glass for our George Washington and Thomas Edison pictures also our class colors Wlth the remamder we hoD2 to get a new dlctlonary At one of our class meetings the Fifth Grade were our guests They presented a play in correlation with geography work The pupils of this grade took part in the music contest given by Walter Damrosh and conducted by Mrs Rook er' Gladys Slpe won one of the prizes offered SEVFNTH GRADE NEWS The Seventh Grade of 1931 32 have done some outstanding things Three persons have attamed honors ln the way of prizes The first was earned by Ruth Rich this was a dlctionary from the Buffalo Evemng News for the wlnner of our spelling contest Ruth also obtained the prize for the best note book kept in connection with the Dsmrosch appreciation radio programs The grand prize for recogmzmg the most selections in the Damrosh test was given to Lenora Nunweiler Both the prizes were pictures of the Sing lng Tower Florida These Damrosch programs were listened to by the sixth seventh and eighth grades of our school A lar e number of the parents f our grade have attended the P T A metings each month EIGHTH GRADE NEWS At present the Eighth Grade is husv rehearsing for the grade play Friday night We expect to spend the next two weeks reviewlng for the regents examinations for everyone wants pass them Since school has started at nine oclock we dont expect to have so many late students as there has been lately Of course the first day of new time a few forgot and came in an hour late but they soon will get regu lated and things will go smoothly again ff H 1932 Page 8 , . , .
