Foreword On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Catholic High, it is ap- propriate to look back through the history of our school to find the one factor which has contributed most to its success. The annals of school history are replete with one outstanding characteristic - spirit. It was a spirit of dedication and pride which marked the Christian Brothers who pioneered St. Peter's College in 1918. Furthermore, their success in instilling this spirit in their students helped the school to grow in size and prestige. As years passed, spirit became a by-word for St. Peter's College and Catholic High. Hard times and good times alike would draw the same unfailing spirit and pride. So as this yearbook relives Catholic High's past, the 1968 Panther staff hopes to point out that it is this genuine school spirit that will be the main influence for good in Catholic High's future.
