Bishop Warren Boudreaux Leo Landry and Stephen Bullock, graduating seniors, proudly display the trophies they have helped to win over the past three years of forensic activity. In- cluded in the thirteen trophies are first place in state, sweepstakes at Catholic, St. Charles, Northeastern, and Rallies, and first places at NCFL qualifying and Catholic Diocesan. Parents of the debaters enjoy the food and one another's company at the speech banquet. Many parents who were 3 introduced to each other during last year's work for the speech barbecue enjoyed the banquet as a reunion of old friends. ' Members of the debate team and their parents enjoy the banquet given in their honor by Bishop Boudreaux. The annual affair, held this year at the French House Restaurant. was presided over by Steve Bullock, pres- ident, and Bro. Larry, moderator. Gardiner Garrison, Jaques Cousin, Lambert Laperouse, and Mickey Baham exhibit the trophy they won in junior division of the NCFL qualifying tournament.

The Interact Club and other school service organizations meet with Brother Justin in the library to discuss joint school projects. The Interact Club served with these other clubs in preparing for assemblies and various pro- grams throughout the year. Interact Club Formed A new youth service club was initiated at Catholic High this year. In association with the New Iberia Rotary Club, the new organization, the Interact Club was chartered. The purpose of the club is to render service to the school and commun- ity. One of the club 's first projects was the painting of tables in the chemistry lab.
