French verbs can be quite confusing so these freshmen are discoveri ng as they plod through the imperative mood. Both Margaret Sexton and Catherine Stewart lead their fellow students. f. Pefefa ...M The girls in Saint Peter's Annex work dili gently and fervently. Conducting an English class over station SPA are Margaret Flynn at the microphone with lean Fritz to Mar a t' g re s left and Irene Sims standing to her right. St. Peter's Annex, previously Hallahan's larg- est and most widely-known annex, is now the only one remaining. Since its founding in l936, its enrollment has included a large body of sophomores and freshmen, but this year only freshmen attended. St. Peter's can always be depended upon to support the main building in all its activities. The members of its glee club and orchestra consider it a privilege to be a part of the Hallahan ensemble, and Work hard to fit themselves tor it. For those more athe- letically inclined, the Leaders' Club was tormed No matter what her choice of study may be, the industrious young student will find the edu- cational facilities and the methods of teachin Q more than ample to satisfy her needs.

They are quite at home and have the true Hallahan spirit about them. High school really commences as the sophomores are initiated into science and mathematics courses. Religion ll, English ll, biology, and geometry are re- quired subjects. Those With artistic talents may elect Vocational Art l as a major subject. The students find that Latin is a very vibrant language when they read the stirring chapters of Caesars Gallic Wars in Latin ll. French ll teaches the young ladies to parlez-vous with more ease and fluency. Sopho- mores may go out for extra-curricular activities in which their athletic, dramatic, and other talents are revealed. Formerly many sophomores attended St. Peters Annex. This year all Were in the main building at Hallahan.
