JMC 6.4 XXA W HIGHER' laughingly prompts Ed Rastatter le lead in th senior class operetta Naughty Marietta to Joyce Ann Cast female lead Carol Pavelka accompanist watches smilmgly April ln Springfield Easter and the CSMC Spring Hop highlighted the first days of Spring for Centralites this year with a vacation following close behind to give students a chance to recover before getting back to the grind again lf I am elected l promise echoed through the halls during the Student Council elections as candidates vied for votes Running Springfield on April 24 was a lot of fun agreed the seniors on City Government Day Rrvallmg the birds the seniors with the help of the underclassmen spent long hours practicing for the operetta Finishing Touches No more uniforms now that May s herel came the happy shouts May also saw one of the seniors biggest dreams coming true Victor Herbert s operetta Naughty Marietta was staged In Memorial Hall on May A It was the first time in Central s history that the class production was held there Term papers examinations all the things that finish up the year came so quickly that everyone was wondering lust where the past nine months had gone NO MORE UNIFORMS until next October' shouts this group of happy Centralites on May l2 rm Anastasn Jack Htl Jo n Lonsway Martha Nolan and Carlean Reardon

A Good Beginning Starting February off right were Centralites who at- tended Mass on the feast of the Purification. After Ash Wednesday, those after-school cokes became a thing of the past. Sophomores got information on the advantages of a college education on February lb as representatives of the Catholic Women s College Club briefed them A February spotlight for the lumors was being meas ured for their class rings The Headline Hop a lournalism sponsored dance was held on the fourteenth followed by Mom and Dad s night held at Tiffany Gym on the fifteenth In Like a Lion Out like a lamb typified March this year Chilly winds spurred students to work a little faster during the fourth quarter of the school year and Lent helped them to work a little harder Science Farr prolects received those finishing touches as did the plans for the future of many luniors and seniors during Career Week Just enough green was showing on March l7 to let all loyal lrishmen know that it really was St Patricks Day A final flurry was added by the luniors as they wrote 30 to their very first edition of Centrib RECEIVING the blessing of the throat on the feast of St Blase from Father David Heinl senior religion instructor is James Greenwalt senior L Z of 5 d'CA!LlfL ?'lCfLVLfL6.4 -v I J 4 H L TOE tap tap ap practicing the lnsh ing in preparation for St Patrick s Day under the dlrec tion of Jim Fitzsimmons isnt work agree these sons and daughters ot e Old Sod Kathy Fitzgerald Mike OKeefe Cissy Derry and Mike Donahue l I3 . , .
