November got off to a great start with the Fighting Irish defeating Delphos St. John 19-7 . . . Senior Civics students voted Stevenson in, but the country didn't. Both Centrib and Spires '56 won the All- American and All-Catholic titles again . . . Mighty seniors were measured for caps and gowns . . . Defeat- ing Southeastern 61-12 gave our team a 7-2 record. Reports Sport New Looks Anxiously awaited reports sported new looks and brought with them firm resolutions for the future. Judy Dettenwanger came out on top in the All-Star race with 210 points . . . Mimi Canny placed second in the county Voice of Democracy contest. We Pray, Give, Play During the Parents' Triduum we prayed for our best friends' '... All attended daily Mass in a body. Freshies got their first taste of social life at CC at the senior-freshman get-acquainted party October ll. Con- tests, dancing and refreshments enlivened the affair. Each freshman was assigned a senior to be his big brother or sister. Centralites felt the full spirit of fall amid pumpkins and corn shocks as they danced to the iukebox at the Harvest Hop , first Student Council dance of the school year. Carol Doolan made highest score in the school in the Ohio History Test October lA. The test familiarized students with interesting and valuable Ohio background. The fighting lrish team made October l complete for Oueen Janet Freking and her royal court by defeating Zanesville in the first homecoming game played on l-lallinean Field. This andthe victory dance at the K of C completed the homecoming festivities. The student body prepared for Catholic Youth Week by making a triduum October 26-28.
