Mr. Wolf, it appears, has whipped quite a tennis team into shape. On the court the boys seem to have the spring and bounce necessary to chalk up a line of victories. At least that's what one would think while observing the contenders going through their after school paces. Under the watchful eye of Ted Sowle, the athletic master-mind, the boys show definite signs of hitting the top in city competition. Behind the iron ball stands Chuck Collins, a vet- eran, along with two newcomers, Bill Dendenius and Bob Taylor, who are giving proof of their ability. Other starting favorites are Bob Everin, Bob Quist, and Jim Gardner in the high iump. Broad iumpers Larry Jachim and George Johnson are iumping their way to victory, while the distance runners Mike Costello, Mike Per- zak, John Purins and Pat GriFfin are really coming through in the long run. Taking everything into consideration the future seems quite bright for the Cougar track team, and the boys are to be commended for the fine job they are doing in an effort to make this track season one of Catholic Central's best. 440 YARD DASH R.
