There are only three returning lettermen: Catcher Denny Cook, first basemen Fred Marger, Ed Wybranowski, Despite the lack of experience the team is ex- pected to do well. Coach Joe Godleski always commands an alert, hustling team. The slug- gers showed their power in their tirst game, defeating Creston 9-1.

SWIMMING fi Prospects of this year's tennis team are bright with the return of tour Iettermen, Ken Duchene, Peter Tarchinski, Bill Butts, and Bill Thrall. Thrall will be competing for his fourth year and is sure to be dangerous in the number one singles spot. As yet, our net men have not taken to the courts, but their past performances and the experienced tutelage of Coach Frank Geary are bound to show an excellent record for the 1955 season. Swimming, the most recent addition to Catholic's athletic curricula, may develop to be a Cougar strong point. This year our tankmen splashed to a 3-3 record. The leading mermen ofthe team were J.
