Malone 1870 - 1951 This is a tribute not only to a great man, but to a Catholic way of life. Mr. Jack Young, our coach and teacher, died September 16, 1950. He was a daily communicant, and his life reflected this. Members of the Varsity Club acted as pallbearers at his funeral Mass on Septpmber 19, 1950, in St. Francis Church. Catholic Central will miss its coach but it will always have as a reminder the fine principles which were embodied in his life. I will give you pastors according to My Own Heart and they shall feed you with knowledge and with doctrine? ,leremias 3:15 Right Reverend Monsignor Malone who died February 3, fulfilled this promise faithfully during the thirty-two years of his pastorate in St. Andrew Cathedral. With all humility, he bowed down and worship- ped the Divine Presence which he had brought down from Heaven by his priestly power, His ex- ample inspired his parishioners to worship also.
