Our Annual Retreat Among the many and varied spiritual opportunities offered to Catholic Central students, the annual Retreat holds first place in the hearts and minds of both faculty and pupils. Three days of meditation upon the great truths of our holy Re- ligiong conferences on voca- tions, and concentration on the duties of our state in life serve to strengthen the spiritual struc- ture of all who are enrolled une der the banner of C. C. The retreat of 1946 was our last one. Who of us can ever forget the zeal and sincerity manifested by the rugged and earnest Father McCaffery, O. On the morning ot lanuary 25, the clos- ing day of the Retreat, l4OU Catholic Cen- tral students received Holy Communion in a body. ln the afternoon the Blessed Sacrament was exposed during Holy Hour in Which the students participated with hymns and prayers. Benediction by the Rev. William Murphy was the final retreat ceremony. The l946 Retreat concluded with the renewal ot Baptismal vows and the impressive Papal blessing by the Rev. McCaffery. Rev.
