OUR FRIEND KRIS A NEW IiFE Deep down inside the ground Machines that she was in, Took from her, a part of her life So once again she may begin. Hopefulness was in our hearts And tears had filled our eyes, It was a chance that we must take A chance that we must try. I myself, had the chance from God To give her my bone marrow With fingers crossed and prayers on hand. There was hope for tomorrow. So now I face the tragic end I feel that I also have died. But God awaits you way up there So with him you will survive. Now, Dear Kris you must await For us to pay a visit. To HAPPY and an everlasting life, The best of life, OR IS IT? Brenda Drescher Fifteen years she was with us, But leukemia has tom her away. Always had a beautiful smile, But now, she's gone away. Memories are all that is left, But we know it is not enough; She will be with us in our mind, But we all know it will be rough. We still hav.e each other now, But nothing can heal this. She will always be in our memory, In our memory as our friend, Kris. Brenda Drescher THE DEAD ARE NOT DEAD UNTIL THEY ARE FORGOTTEN”

THE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM What Its All About If one stops to consider the various roles an administrator must assume, it should become clear that the position is quite difficult (it not impossible, at times) for one individual to handle. He (or she) must be ’'qualified as teacher, counselor, disciplinarian, financial expert, public relations direc- tor, parent sympathizer, janitorial expert, faculty den-mother, activities co-ordinator, etc. Add to these rolls the fact that he must also become involved in the social, athletic, community and church activities while still maintaining some semblance of a private life. All in all, the picture presented is a complex one-and will become more complex as time continues. And, thus, we arrive at the concept of Team Administration-three persons sharing the responsibilities for running a modem school system. While one person may not be proficient in various areas involved with administration, the three members do have the opportunity to present their particular strengths to the program. At present, Central's administrative team is attempting to define the areas of responsibility, and, while progress has been made in this endeavor, more is required if the result is to be a smoothly- functioning team. As with any good team, it is essential to know both the strengths and the weak- nesses of the members, their personalities, the positions for which they are suited; so too with the administrative team. Only time and work, trial and error, dialogue and patience will result in determination of the aforementioned points. Presently, the team is learning the needs, is meeting regularly (in fact, sixteen mods weekly) to help to alleviate problems both minor and major, is coversing both among themselves and with faculty and students alike. The end result, thus far, had been a better understanding of the team members, their particular goals, wishes as well as those of Student Body and Staff. Once this form of basis is set, steps to implement it will follow ..... Mr. Cmich 3
