The future sees Sandy a nurse. ROBERT HOLM Quiet and reserved is Bob until he is with his friends. He gives the appearance of being all fun, but his favorite subject, physics, proves that he has some serious moments. Surf City, steak, and cars thrill him. .. girls have him completely baffled. He was a two-year letter- man in basketball. .. enjoyed serving as an altar boy. We are sure that Bob will do great things in the future. JAMES GRANSBERY Well-liked and responsible, Jim led his class as president his fresh- man and junior years. . . attended Boys' State. . . was an S. C. A. C. panelist. . . an altar boy. . . worked on stage crews. . . was in The Christmas Crib. . . participated in speech meets. . . lettered in basket- ball and was captain his senior year. Tops on his list are steak, and bio-chemistry. . .biggest thrill--going to the basketball tournament . . . favorite pastime--playing his guitar. Jim's future is still unde- cided, but he is sure to succeed at almost anything. MARY JO RUANE Keeping the school spirit at its peak was the job of this elfin miss. Mary Jo was Freshman Class treasurer, GAC representative, and a Candy Striper. A. C. fans found the enthusiasm of this peppy cheerleader contageous. She charmed the audiences of Meet Me in St. Louis, Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, and 1 Remember Mama. Among Doe's favorites are Surfer Girl, bookkeeping, and attend- ing wrestling matches. Next year Mary Jo will be at St. Mary's College. JOAN MARTIN Joanie, who likes to keep birds in her locker, was an active member of the GAC and a loyal supporter of our team. She clains that riding around with her friends is her favorite pastime. .. swimming, Sugar Shack, and chicken rate high on her list. . . ratted hair is out. Her biggest thrill is going to city championships. Whether she decided to be a beautician or a secretary, she'll add zest to it. NANCY DEE This cheerful, diminutive redhead was a member of the ROCKALITE staff, the juvenile panel, and the Candy Stripers. .. played Dagmar in I Remember Mama. .. capably managed the lounge. . . was a Grid- iron princess and a GAC representative. . . Frankie and Johnny, pizza, water skiing and Murph are favorites. Her biggest thrill--the tournament at Cut Bank. She doesn't care for sarcastic people. A nursing career is ahead. ROBERT ODERMANN Bob is always on the go and ready to help. He was a Student Council representative, a Boys' Stater, an altar boy. . . was casted in Boy With Cart, and developed an effective Norwegian accent for I Remember Mama. .. enjoyed basketball and track and speech meets. . . warns-- Don't think twice. Odey sings and plays the guitar Hootenanny- style, just for enjoyment. Next fall St. John's will see him. TRACY SHAFFER Central's shy guy, Ace, played football... escorted a Gridiron Prin- cess. .. Let's Go Tippin, turkey, and candy apple red bring a smile ... was challenged by physics and biology. People who lack tact and kindness head his black list. Surf-music eases the hours away.. . his biggest thrill--thrilling Ho-Dad fans. Tracy's desire is work in psychiatry or psychology. SUZANNE SHEA Able to carry on a sparkling conversation with almost anyone, Suz brings happiness wherever she goes.. . being representative of the G. A. C. and its secretary, the lounge crew, Candy Striping, and lending her art talent to the ROCKAUTE kept her busy... says blue, pepsi and tournaments are great with her... tells us her pet peeve is people who get something and then don't want it ... school bells will ring for her again in September. LAWRENCE JENSEN Mannerly, energetic, and capable--that's Larry, commander-in- chief of the Senior Class... appeared in Boy With a Cart, The Christ- mas Story, and I Remember Mama.. . attended the speech meet in '63... represented A. C. H. S. at Boys' State... was chairman of the S. C. A. C. panel and moderator of the juvenile panel. . . rates hunting and steak as great. After cap and gown day, he will enter pre-med at Carroll. 35 NANCY BARTHOLOMEW Cute, carefree, and full of zest is Twinkles ... an active member of the GAC, and an ardent Central fan... is perfectly content when eating or listening to Summer Place ... homework heads her list of pet peeves... her biggest thrill is yet to come.. .Nancy can usually be found in the company of Teresa or Mariann. Her future plans def- initely include college. MARY MARGARET FRANCISCO This amiable miss with her winning ways and infectious smile easily captivates others... Margie was representative of the G. A. C. , Senior Class secretary, a Girls' Stater, a Candy Striper, and ROCKA- LITE staff member. Her biggest thrills were being crowned Gridiron and Mardi Gras Queen. She rates Moon River high. .. likes to read ... acting before thinking, her big fault. . . her big dream is to be a medical technologist. ROBERT McLAEN Jumbo, and active Centralite... a favorite as Student Council president. . . Boys' Stater.. . member of stage crew for Central's plays ... altar boy for 7 years.. . enjoys football.. . spends leisure time with Otto, Gene, and Tim... Next September higher things are in store for Bob. JOHN DOMITROVICH This popular guy rated high with all who knew him... led our school as vice-president of the Student Council and Sophomore Class treas- urer. .. took part in The Christmas Story. . . was Mardi Gras King. . . is most satisfied when drumming. .. can always be seen with Ace, Sam, and Sull. . . says going to Albuquerque with his science project was great.. . the road from Anaconda to Butte was well worn by John... Next year will find John at Pomona College. ELIZABETH ANN HERBOUCH Sweet and easy to get along with best describes Bets . . . an active member of G. A. C. ... will be remembered as Jessie in I Remember Mama... tops on her list of favorites is Twilight Time .. . conceited people rub her the wrong way. .. is happy when playing the piano. .. future plans include business college. 36 JAMES BENNETT Known to all as Buck, this well-liked senior had four fun-loving years at Central... a three year football letterman... a basketball player... a Student Council representative.. . can always be heard saying Take five ... rating high with Buck are hamburgers, football, typing, and having a good time... says his 1940 Chevy was a big mis- take. .. the future--maybe the Air Force. PATRICIA NUGENT Kindness and sincerity are second nature to this sunny Centralite... Patsy, always ready with an idea, served our class as vice-president ... Student Council representative... ROCKALITE editor and assistant editor... Girls' Stater... Valentine princess... went to the speech meet... was a Candy Striper... Nugie rates blue, peanut butter, the Dillon tourney, and Wine and Roses tops... says trying to be Miss Clairol was her big mistake. . . college will be the next step for Patsy. JANICE PETRUSKA Talkative, daring, Jan was a four year member of the G. A. C. and a Candy Striper. Summer Place holds her top spot of favorites ... two-faced people rub her the wrong way... is completely content when eating spaghetti. Jan claims her favorite color is yellow. .. can usually be found with Sandy, Sylv, Pattiann, and Tilly. Jan loves to sew and type.. . Her biggest day--the tourney in Dillon. She plans to attend Butte Business College. 37 JAMES SMITH Cheerful, witty and liked by all is Pete ... an ardent fan of the Ho-Dads and their O. P. Rock ... played and lettered in football . .. enjoys water-skiing and hunting... is usually seen with John, Ace, or Mickey... rates typing, chicken, and football as his favorites... Carroll awaits him in the fall. JOHN MURPHY Witty, well-liked, and winsome is Jack, among whose favorites are bio-chem, stuffed pork chops, and hubcap collecting.. .Jack's class- mates claim him to be out of it, and he can be entranced when lis- tening to Frankie and Johnny or when with Red .. .he says he will always remember participating in the Christmas plays, being vice- president of the Frosh Class, president of the Sophomore Class, rep- resentative of Student Council, and captain of the basketball team. He participated in football and basketball two years, and was a mem- ber of the track team. Future plans include studying physical therapy at Mont. U. ANNE JEAN TRACY With a shy smile and wide, innocent eyes this well-liked miss charms all who know her.. . being vice-president of the G. A. C. , writing for the ROCKALITE, and working for the lounge crew consumed most of her time. .. she attended the speech meet.. . was a candy striper. . . can usually be seen with Marge and Patsy.. . loves turquoise, A1 Di La, ' licorice, and history... biggest thrill--meeting a certain some- one from Annapolis... pet peeve—boys who are smart alecks.. . college is a definite part of her future. KATHLEEN McMAHON Pretty, talented, and willing to try anything once.. . Kay was a mem- ber of G. A. C. and senior representative. .. she claims Summer Place is the most... is perfectly content eating fried chicken... marks typing, red and softball as great ... says her biggest thrill was the ACHS-AHS game... biggest mistake was taking advanced algebra... her pet peeve--two faced people.. . Kay can often be found sewing or in the company of a certain Copperhead... college is in the future. OTTO DILL Thoughtful, good-natured Otto usually is seen in the company of Gene Morris and Bob McLaen, thinks baseball's the greatest... spends leisure time fishing, hunting or making model cars. . .he brought honor to the school by meriting an honorable mention in the Fisher Body Company's nationwide model car competition. .. was an altar boy and belongs to the Gun Club... was on the stage crew for I Remember Mama and in the Christmas play... college next year. 38 i CAROLE COURSEY Always on the go and smiling. . . Carole was a member of the G. A. C. , on the ROCK ALITE staff... worked as a candy striper. Her motto, Que Sera, Sera ... rates Exodus as tops... enjoys English ... can't tolerate people who lie and cheat, lists bookkeeping as a big mistake. .. Carole spends her leisure time horseback riding and writing. . . her biggest thrill--passing a world history test. This fall will see her either in the Navy or at college. CAROLYN GAZDA Sweet and amiable best describes Carol... G. A. C. member, Candy Striper... lists Blue Danube, turkey dinner with all the trimmings and chartreuse at the head of her favorites, reading and walking bring happiness... loathes people who borrow and don't return. Says her biggest mistake was being a twin. A nursing career will further Carol's education. LAWRENCE JURCICH Jerk , as generous as he is talkative, joined the Science Club, sold ads for the ROCKALITE, worked on stage crews, played in I Remem ber Mama, and managed the basketball team for two years.. . favors Blue Velvet, spaghetti, football, and swimming. He dislikes girls that smoke... biggest mistake--owning a car... plans on majoring in business administration at Portland U. PATRICIA Me ANDREWS Pat, a redhead with quiet charm, enjoys mostly anything. .. dotes on the color green.. could eat steak for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... is fascinated by bio-chemistry... prides herself on leaving school by 3:15 except on G. A. C. or Sodality nights. . . organized study habits leave spare time for her friends, Mary Ruth, Geri, and Carole. College will be the next step. DIANE FINNEGAN Always laughing and full of fun, that's Finnybee . ..
