In the games that he was healthy, he showed his old fire and ran and passed well. He also was a fine field general sparking numerous touchdown drives with his alert signal calling. Although plagued by injuries throughout the season he always did more than his share to help the team. He was a fine tarkler and blocker. ' 'Q' ED KULE97A FND Big, Ed the largest membtr of the Crusaders at 6 ft 7 and weighing 210 pounds had a very successful season though riddled by iniuries For the second year he was an All State selection as vtell as being, named to the Wfoodlarzd Al1S!arJ and the All C111 Feum His speed and size made him a fine blocker pass catcher and defensive end JIMMY MASON-CUARD Jimmy, the only junior the first unit last season, was a fine all-round player all year. The five foot seven inch, 185 pound junior showed his alerta ness all season in recovering numerous fumbles which led to many Crusader touchdowns.
