Publi Qpinion The new building prompted various reactions from Catholic High students. The general feel- ing of most students was that the building's advantages far outweighed the inconveniences caused by construction. Scott Blackwell, commenting on the new library, said, lt's more organized and quiet. The big windows give it a pleasant feeling. Charles Schaefer said, Now I have a quiet place where l can study before school. Mrs. Chudy, on the other hand, said she loved it but there were far too many hiding places for stu- dents. Commenting on the audito- rium, Mark Harrill said, lt will be helpful for class meetings, and when it's hot, many people will be able to meet in air conditioning. Marcus McAllister remarked, The new auditorium lessens un- believably the headaches and problems associated with having to build a stage for the play. John Bauer, senior clarinet player, remarked about the band- room, The accoustics are much better and l enjoy the location. l will not miss slipping down the steps during the winter. Out of all the comments there was rarely a complaint. Students were pleased that the facilities were completed and obivously enjoyed their use.
