Then, on the way to school, this hypothetical student cranked on some tunes by Ratt or Van Halen, accompa- nying them on his air guitar. Or perhaps he would turn his radio to Magic l0Sf',to hear his favorite song,f7'Money for Nothing, by 'Dire Straits. After school and supposedly Hits or Misses. Musical tastes and preferences ranged this year from Springsteen to the Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin to R.E.M. Fads Statler Bros. 'late Night with . David Letterman. 5 Elms and 'y'The Tonight Show were the popular com- edies. g e On Qwifekends. this average Catholic Highstudent would attend afootball game, escort a date to the movies, or simply cruise, Once in a while he might even venture as far as Fayettenam. He certainly kept himself busy! As an added note, many stu- dents had favorite movies, in- cluding Rambo.
