hen I came as a freshman, I was unsure of myself. I had only lived in Little Rock for two months when the first day of school rolled around. I got an inter- elected' to Boy's State and chosen as a cheerleader. The most amazing aspect of the school is the spirit and sense of belonging. At the time it 3 pep rally is un- were one big family. wasn't that big a deal. realy' As it got closer to the first day, I began to think that an all boys school, wearing ties, and short haircuts didn't sound like what I was looking for in a high school. My mother said that I could change if I didn't like it in nine weeks or so. Four years later, I am still here. Since then, I have grown to love this school and for what it stands. I had my differences with Father Tribou my sopho- more year, but then, who doesn't? My junior year was my year of change. I was Every Friday that we have a football game there is a pep assembly. The cheerleaders, band, and the cheerleaders and Rockettes from Mt. St. Mary's perform. Swatches of all colors and styles, just about the most popular thing of the year. turn up everywhere. Quite a few punk and new wave type hancuts,such as spiked han and partly shaved heads, still amaze and frighten parents, however, that traditional Catholic High haircut remains in.
