Dedicaiion iI I Mr. Henrg Woods NO ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT MAKES CATHOLIC HIGH TICK WILL BE SURPRISED THAT THE I972 YEARBOOK IS DEDICAT- ED TO HENRY WOODS . . .EXCEPT, OF COURSE, HENRY WOODS WHOSE HUMILITY MAKES HIM SOMEWHAT BLIND TO HIS OWN EXCELLENCE. MR, WOODS IS AMONG MANY OTHER THINGS, PRESIDENT OF THE ARKANSAS BAR ASSOCIATION AND, THEREFORE, AS WE BOYS WOULD SAY, A BIG SHOT OR AS THE MORE SOPHISTICATED WOULD SAY, A PROMINENT CITIZEN. YET, DE- SPITE HIS PROMINENCE AND A LAW PRACTICE THAT KEEPS HIM BUSY NIGHT AND DAY HE HAS ALWAYS FOUND TIME TO DO ANYTHING THAT CATHOLIC HIGH NEEDED DONE . . . EVEN IF IT INVOLVED A MENIAL TASK LIKE RUNNING AN ER- RAND FROM HIS OFFICE TO THE STATE CAPITOL. NOT OFTEN IS SUCH SENSE-OF-SERVICE AND HUMILITY FOUND IN A MAN OF GREAT PROMINENCE. PERHAPS IT IS THIS LATTER QUALITY OF HENRY WOODS THAT HAS BEEN HIS GREATEST SERVICE TO CATHOLIC HIGH . . . FOR, BY IT, HE OFFERS LIVING PROOF THAT SUCCESS AND HUMILITY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE ATTRI- BUTES. NOTHING FINER COULD HAPPEN TO A CATHOLIC HIGH GRADUATE THAN THAT HE BECOMES A MAN OF THE QUALITY OF HENRY WOODS. . 4
