Four brief years ago, when we entered Catholic High as enthusiastic fresh- men, full of hope and expectancy, Father Galvin welcomed us with the promise that those years would be not only four of the most important we would ever spend but also years that would supply us with a fund of memories from which we would never cease to draw. And now, almost unbelievably, those years are past. Gone are the exuberant freshman days, gone are the hectic sophomore days, gone are the reflective junior days and, now, gone are the decisive senior days. Football games, classroom discussions, dances, punishments, consolations and so many of the other things that are a part of high school life have gone with them. However, we hope that somehow they will live again with the old freshness as often as we recall them to mind in the pages of The 1956 Rocket.
