66444 pea Dear Father Tribou, Time surely flies! It's hard to believe that twenty years ago tonight we graduated from C.H.S. But here we are, two decades later, making plans for our first reunion. The much anticipated get-together of the Class of 1953 is shaping up in good style and it looks like we'll have a big turn-out. We've rented the ballroom of the Conrad Hilton in Chicago and have invited all the graduates and their families. The first to answer the invitation for the reunion was Dr. john Bushkuhl. He has just finished his nineteenth year as professor of philosophy at junior College. You remember that john was awarded his doctorate fmagna cum laude, of coursej from Slob- bovian State Sub-Normal. Dan Bearden has been keeping himself busy in two jobs. He is, as we all anticipated he would be, general manager of the concessions in all Boys Clubs in Arkansas fboth of themj, and does part time work modeling fat men's bathing trunks for Sears Cata- logues. john Nabors is still in the Arkansas Air National Guard and is chief messenger to Commanding Officer Walter Whitfield, originator of the Henry j. jet 340. Bill Hart is happily married to the former.Miss Henrietta Schnikeldorphenmyer whom he met while in Sweden 'way back in '52. He's the proud papa of two little Eagle Scouts, one Star Scout, two Girl Scouts. and he is president of Arkansas Carpet 8: Furniture Co. jim Benz is now a gentleman farmer and a big cattle man fthat is, he specializes in big cattlej. His home is at Benztown, Arkansas fformerly called Parisj. Pat Poe has left his mark on the world with the invention of his retractable landing gear for auto- mobiles. He has a patent also for a special type of windshield wiper for automobiles. When you're driv- ing along the road at 150 mph and suddenly strike a pedestrian, his new invention wipes the victim from the windshield. Barry Findley has made a mark for himself with his automatic accounting machine. He is employed by the Phillips Oil Co. and plays center on their basketball team. Rodney Cottrell is now an opera extra with the Met. He plays the part of the shaghaired villain who always gets killed in the first act. May 29, 1973 Dr. Walter Holcomb has won fame with his new discovery, a sugared chlorolhyll sleeping pill for sweet dreams, and is working to improve his other medicine, one that will induce three dimensional color dreams. Bob Hardin has been working along with Dr. Hol- comb as chief tester of the pill. We hope he will be able to force himself away from his job long enough to attend the reunion. Larry Wilson has recently accepted the position as head football coach for the Holy Souls Wabbits. His delay in getting the job was caused by a disagreement over the application he filled out, he kept insisting his name was Larry and not Lawrence Fearless Fred Casavechia has a boxing match scheduled for the week of the reunion, and it is doubtful if he'll be able to show up. He's the con- tender for the world's heavyweight crown. What muscles!! john Perin has made the best of his high school training and has gone into the entertainment busi- ness. He plans the homecoming exercises for all the better southern colleges. john Papan now owns a small plantation called Benton outside of Little Rock, and seems to be quite prosperous. james Koehler is one of the nation's expert paint mixers. He's worked for twenty years now and as yet hasn't found the right color to match his car's green fender skirts. Charles Rossi has made much progress in the field of scientific farming. He has developed a new type of burpless radish, just what the world's been needing. I was very glad to hear of our classmate john Oswald being made Bishop. I wonder if he is still as talkative as he was in school. Never could keep that boy quiet. Ed Rose has received his long sought promotion and is now the manager of the Roxy. As a hobby Ed still likes to sell popcorn just like the good old days. Larry Johnston has become a famous writer and lecturer and is the author of the popular book How To Win Arguements And Influence Professors, Ex- cept when Arguing With Senior English Teachers Why They Should Not Give Punishmentsf' We'll send you all the news from the reunion soon. Best ufifhef, THE REUNION COMMITTEE
