Cross Country Runs Past All Opponents The 1976 Prep Cross Country team, led by senior lim Izbicki and sophomore Tom Held, cap- tured first place in City Series, Metro League, Sec- tion One, and District Ten competition, finishing with a perfect 15-0 regular season record. This ex- tended its two-year winning streak to 27 straight wins. In the opinion of Head Coach Ron Sertz, and assistants Fr. Frank Przepierski and Mr. Stanley Brzezicki, this year's team was the finest, hardest working in the history of Prep Cross Country. The year was further enhanced with lim Iz- bicki's setting new record times at Frontier and various other courses. Next year, the team will be headed by returning lettermen Tom Held, jim Yount, Freddie Heintz, Tom Forish, and Mark Lyons and Bill Phillips.
