There 18 also a good run of perch in the shallow water But the real bay fishlng begins when the bass season opens There are a great number of black bass that come in from the lake to spawn and are caught by live ba1t fishlng or castlng There are also qu1te a few muskzmes to be caught trowl 1ng or casting And, if you like to catch bluegill or calico bass there is also a very large run of them in Misery Bay every year If you catch a fish that has not spawned, put it back You had the sport of catching it and there are plenty of f1sh left that have spawned If you don't, you are just spoillng next yea.r's fishing for your self When you catch a f1Sh under legal size,wet your hands and take it off the hoolf easlly and place it back in the water Don't throw 1t. ' , 1 I I v . - , 2 K, ' ' t RELIGION AT PREP Religion at Prep follows a well planned and long established pro grarn In addition to the daily Religion classes all Prep boys are expected to attend Mass each Friday mormng in St Peter s Cathedral His Excell ency the Most Reverend john Mark Gannon Bishop of Erie and Spiritual Advisor of the School frequently offers the student Mass and gives the boys a short meditation following Holy Communion On Thursday after noons a period 1S set aside during which all students are given an oppor Prep s spiritual faculty by His Excellency Each year the three days preceding Ascension Thursday are de voted to an Annual Retreat under the d1rect1on of priests of the various religious orders Rev A L Doran C SS R of Brooklyn N Y was in charge of the 1943 retreat For those who take full advantage of these opportunities Religion at Prep has done much It has taught confused timid and uncertain boys to meet diiicultxes squarely to bear crosses with patience, to fact the future with confidence 'l l-nomas Smith - 9 , 3 . . . . 9 Q . .... .
