The Right Reverend Clarence E. Elwell, Ph. D., director of diocesan schools of Cleveland Maintaining high standards in our schools is the duty of Monsignor Clarence lf Elwell, diocesan super- intendent, Gur many institutions of learning would have little value it they lacked a dynamic educational program, This service has been the job ot Msgr, Elwell since his appointment as assistant superintendent ot schools in l933, over two decades ago. ln l946 he was assigned to his present post.
