Dear Graduat es , The theme of your year-book shows that you are on the alertg you are conscious of a future that must be naturally affected by the advances of science. The success of man in unearthing the hidden wisdom of God in His material creation should challenge you to a greater knowledge and appreciation of the Divine Plan in the order of grace and its propagation throughout the world. No matter what revelations an atomic age may bring to you, there is always the unchangeable order of grace which must direct these novelties to their proper end. There is a hidden energy in the supernatural life of man which must also be released-an energy which will communicate itself to others, vitalize them with its own power and identify them with its own divine source. The knowledge of religion which you have received at Cathedral Latin is a treasure which you must not guard selfishly within you. It is a message which you must spread far and wide. Your way of life guided by sound Christian principles must transmit to others the message of Christ's gospelg it must animate them with the very life of God and through His grace, identify them with Him for time and eternity. Cherish likewise the secular knowledge which you have received a knowledge acquired in its proper reference to your eternal destiny. Come what may in your life- time, whatever man's wisdom may devise, it will but confirm your faith in God and afford you added oppor- tunities and new methods of multiplying Christians in the world. Sincerely yours , Rev. Andrew L. Seebold, S.M. President, Cathedral Lat in School LATIN GRADUATES OF 1948:
