Sodality collected and sent clothing for the Holy Rosary Indian Mission in South Dakota. A record number of canned foods for the starving people in Europe was brought in, with Room 36 topping the school, for which they received the Sodality Flag. With the turn of the semester, Sodalists took time out for spiritual rejuvenation in the form of a three- day retreat, given by Rev. George Iungels, C.P. HChrist in My Lifew was the subject ot a talk given by Rev. john I. Walsh, SI., as he inspired the students to higher ideals.Catholic Home Week introduced three new Sodality projects: Family Rosary, Family Consecration to the Sacred Heart, and Family Communion. The last part of our theme, Through Mary's Motherhoodf, was emphasized by the Living Ros- ary every month at Holy Hour and on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdesg by the promotion of the con- secration of the Wichita Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary: and by the organization of the Hg Club to further devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. We have had a very successful and interesting Sodality year, and every student of Cathedral High School joins us in saying we are proud to be Sodal- ists ol' Mary-Our Mother.

The building is of Bedford stone and is a tribute to Rt. Rev. Monsignor Farrell's thirty-seven years as superin- tendent. Each year finds some added improvement in the buildings, equip- ment, or grounds, and, while these buildings represent a monument of perfect architecture, Monsignor's great- est work is the religious and cultural training of those who have the good fortune to be entrusted to his care. The faculty of the Sisters of St. Ios- eph has been augmented from two teachers in 1890, when they were teach- ing in the pro-Cathedral, to sixteen Sis- ters and two lay teachers at the present time. The members of the faculty have been trained with thorough care and hold degrees from the Catholic Univer- sity of America, from Notre Dame University, Creighton University, Wich- ita University, and Friends University. The spiritual guidance program is under the direction of Rev. Aloysius I. Felling. The courses of study offered in Cathe- dral High School include four years of religion, Latin, French, German, Spanish, English, mathematics, history, speech and science, and complete com- mercial, home economics, and indus- trial arts courses. In the music depart- ment, piano, organ, voice, glee club. chorus, history of music, harmony and music appreciation may be pursued.
