12 Senior Banquet This year’s event marked the last formal gathering of the senior class before graduation. The evening began with a full course dinner featuring boneless capon, which was served by Cathedral’s Caterers. Class musicians John Dillon, Vinny Walsh, and Ray Bourbeau provided music for enjoyment and relaxation. Presentation of awards followed the meal. Senior letter winners received their prizes; and special awards were handed out by their coaches. Admist much laughter, the reading of the class ballot took place in the form of an Academy Awards show, complete with ‘‘nominations”’ and special trophies. Class officers Frank Fragomeni, Peter Serafino, Nancy Hopkins, and Pat Sweeney presented class advisors Bill McBride, Sr. Ruth O’Connor, Sr. Richard Francis with gifts. Sr. Alice Kenney and Sr. Patricia Feeley also received tokens of appreciation. 1 4 oe Rae 3 ‘ “i Co

Through The Looking Glass Coming together to worship for the last time, the senior class, surrounded by relatives and friends, shared bread and wine at the traditional Baccalaureate Mass. Two unique slide presentations chronicling the past and projecting into the future highlighted the celebration. Specially chosen songs accentuated the theme, ‘Through the Looking Glass”’, as well as readings given by Martha Harrington, Mary Guay, Roger Talbot, Marty Woytych, Chris Darsigny, and Frank Fragomeni. A special Kiss of Peace as well as communion under both species gave the mass an added reverence. Closing the c elebration with the thought “All men have thestars ... but they are not the same things for different people.” this year’s senior class left with much hope for their future endeavors. 1 Casually socializing, Mark McGlynn, Mary Leahy, Vincent Neffinger, and Doris Morneau await their dinner. 2 Baccalaureate speaker Mary Guay looks out over a sea of caps and gowns. 3 Music critics Larry Boudreau, Bob Hibbert and Bruce Klinker pause for a moment to comment on the band. 4 Varied reactions to a favorable evening are evidenced by Angela Sidelinker and Michael Nadeau. 5 With quiet dignity Martha Harrington offers thought about the universe in the first reading, from the Book of Wisdom. 6 After receiving a special blessing from Fr. Boland, Roger Talbot reads the Gospel. 7 A fashionable array of formal attire is displayed by Bob Shewchuk, Patti Dunn, Tom Brodeur, Joan Leary, Fran Fitzgerald, Tom Hayes, Katie Davidson, and Chris Tuomey. 8 Beautifully attired for the big night, Sharon Roberts and Debbie Calabrese pose for the photographer. 9 Capturing the spirit of the mass, the Baccalaureate Choir sings with vivid expression.
