fi on PD . ers . tea ie a $ Gt] The Devil And Daniel Webster For the first time in eight years, Fr. Riendeau and a dedicated cast of thirty presented the Senior Opera in English, adding to audience appreciation. This season’s musical drama related the story of Jabez Stone (Russell Croteau), who sells his soul to the devil (Fred Dimauro). On his wedding night, Stone and his guests discover that the Devil has come to collect on his bargain. Deserted by all but his wife, Mary Stone (Denise Bergevin), and Daniel Webster (Bob Stein), Stone prepares for his trial before a ghostly judge (Tim Germano) and his ghoulish jury. Eloquently defended by Webster, Stone is released and returns to his joyous wife and guests. This traditional production highlighted the seniors’ last week of school.

Senior Picnic On May 22nd the class of '75 set a precedent in the history of senior class activities. A picnic took place at High Meadow in Granby, Conneticut. It was open to the entire class and about 400 attended. Faculty members Bill McBride, Don Simpson, Sisters Ruth O'Connor and Richard Francis, Miss Kathy Perron, and John Miller, enjoyed the fun as chaperones. The morning's cloudiness and humidity dampened no one's spirits. By about one o'clock the skies brightened and so did the festivities. Among the most popular activities were volleyball, tennis, swimming, and sunburning, along with an occasional football or softball game. By nightfall all of the exhausted souls had settled down for anice, quiet evening of more of the same, with the added attraction of dancing to the sound of ‘‘Next of Kin’’.
