Showmen Enact Parts In School Presentations A diversity of skills among CHS students was exemplified in three productions this year. the fifth annual Gym Show gave gym team members a chance to perform acrobatic feats in a performance other than gymnastic competition. Creative lighting and carefully rehearsed numbers produced an enjoyable show. Some 30 numbers planned and performed by students accentuated the theme of the 1974 Minstrel which centered around a couple looking back over 25 years of marriage. Under the direction of Mr. Jean Pierre Beauregard, a seven-member student committee organized the show. Members of the stage crew constructed a unique revolving platform which facilitated the necessary change from living room to attic scene. Lighting arrangements were also perfected by students. In Rev. Richard Reindeau’s production of Noah, students worked from Andre Obey’s script and portrayed characters based on the biblical story. The work, while appearing simple on the surface, carried a deeper philosophical meaning and provided an interesting challenge to students in the audience. 96
