Hockey After skating off to a good start, injuries temporarily stalled out the Panther machine, and their first place hopes. Bessone trophy candidate Marty Wright, and junior winger Bill Ellis were out of action for extended periods of time. Subsequently the team went into a tailspin losing to anumber of less powerful teams. Upon the return of Wright and Ellis, the Panthers upset league leading West Springfield, and went on toclinch fourth place. Despite the depleted ranks, and the teams mistakes, outstanding efforts were given by seniors Mike Fenton, John Kenny, Joe Sibilia, Glenn Elia, Charlie Landry, and Bob McFarlin, Sophs Jeff Angers and Jack Morganstern also helped make Cathedral a worthy challenge for any team.
