Wrestling Success was the key word for describing the wrestling team this year. Head coach Ben Aleks, and assistant coach Ed Crowley were very pleased with the style and strength the matmen displayed throughout the season. Undefeated in Western Mass. dual competition, the team’s most celebrated win was over rival Tech. The Panther grapplers had a 28-18 victory over the Tigers. Senior Mark Scyocurka, leading the team in total number of points and pins, was cited the outstanding wrestler of the team. Polishing off their victorious season, they captured first place in the Western Mass tourney and fifth place in State. Among new additions to the team were seven girl managers.
