Mr. John Miller: There is a lot of excitement in learning something we never knew before — the thrill of discovery appeals to our sense of wonder. That some excitement, however, is at least doubled when we are able to help some- one else learn something new! Mr. Terrence O’Connell: I am an educator because I believe that education is one avenue for a person’s growth. Education opened highways for me and I want to share what I have learned with others. Sr. Ruth O’Connor: I am an educator to share in the joy and wonder of the growth in persons, as they become aware of the beauty, the order and the tremendous fulfillment that is all about them. 121

Why are you an educator? Fr. Richard Riendeau: I guess it’s due to some Promethean itch to share some of my discover- ies as a person, priest and life lover with my small brothers and sisters in exchange for their warmth, idealism and spontaneity — to dis- play God in His earthly expressions to them and try to effect a sympathetic and awesome relationship. Sr. Mary Ritchie: ... to guide and encourage people in their creating of to- morrows ... Sr. Nancy Sparks: ... to share what I have learned that others may grow, and that I might grow with them in the sharing.
