Artists splatter talents, Spotted floors, clogged sinks, sticky fingers, furrowed brows; all are inevitable in the guidance of young artists. Art I acquainted the students with all media of drawing and design. Second year art classes used their creative abilities for numerous endeavors in various aspects of art. These included linoleum blocks, monochromatics, still lifes, wire sculptures, and tissue collages. Art students became familiar with the work of master artists, along with studio work. A major accomplishment of Art III students was the making of a Luca Della Robbia wreath and a partridge in a pear tree. Other facets of their work included an introduction to oil painting, silk screening, ceramics, and ink drawings. 3 4 1 Adding a few finishing touches, Kim Braw- ders prepares to mount her papier-mache mask. 2 Art Student Debbie Plasse completes a stained glass tissue collage. 3 Wire sculpture becomes a tangle for George Chartier. 4 After witnessing the unveiling of the mosaic dedicated to his brother, Senator Edward Kennedy thanks the art students who were involved in its making.
