Business students perfect skills for future careers Along with regular business subjects, anew course, personal typing was included in the curriculum. Introduced as an experiment, the non-credit course was graded on the pass-fail system. Classes were taught basic business along with personal letter styles and correct keyboard techniques. In other business classes speakers were brought in to discuss topics related to the course. Such contacts helped the students to direct themselves toward future careers. Data Processing offered students experience with Unit Record Equipment, Key Punch, and an Alphabetic Interpreter. Through the department, 100 percent of senior business students have obtained jobs. 1 Typist Patty Hill concentrates on an assign- ment. 2 Unidentified student demonstrates home key position. 3 Business student Shirley Smith adjusts drum of mimeograph machine. 4 Punch typist Diane Dimauro operates equipment. 81
