Seniors present “The Daughter of the Regiment,” the French opera staged by the Cathedral Opera Company, was presented to students in June. The production was the climax of a year’s hard work by the 35 students involved. Sr. Frances Cooke and Fr. Richard Riendeau, dire ctors, worked closely with the Seniors in staging the pantomime. Students spent first rehearsal becoming familiar with the score and facial expression, both of which are important elements in lip-synchronized productions. In addition to the presentation at Cathedral, the students staged the opera for the Longmeadow PTA, Elms and Westfield State Colleges, and Saint Michael’s High School in Northampton. 20
