The building is filled with nameless faces and faceless names — : all with power to conceive, power to create. Leaving the opened books behind, they need a place to go, a thing to do, a friend to laugh with. Exploring each other, they seek to be whole as selves, hoping to be founa, yet afraid of being found. “We sit together in communion — revealing outselves, understanding revelations.” Activities

CHS Theater Company inaugurates new program Cathedral's Opera and Theatre Company, under the direction of Sr. Frances Cooke and Fr. Richard Riendeau, introduced a policy of open casting for all productions. The student body at large had the opportunity to participate in all activities, allowing students with limited time but broad interests, to become involved. Their first presentations were four student-directed Christmas plays for the young, and the young at heart. They were taken on the road to orphanages, elementary schools, homes for the aged, and study homes. A Shakespearean Festival called enthusiasts to interpret scenes from the bard’s greatest plays. Art students contributed to the festival by turning the auditorium foyer into an Elizabethan world picture. Jesus Christ Superstar was repeated this year as a spring production. Students wrote and directed three one-act plays which they presented later in the year. This opened avenues of creative expression for CHS students. The Theatre Company’s crew, under the direction of Tom Lamarche, took charge of the technical production of all presentations. oe)
