Chronicle shows its colors in black and white The Cathedral Chronicle continued to inform the student body in its usual award-winning style. Sr. Patricia Feeley and Sr. Imelda Maria, advisers, have trained the staff through journalism classes to edit the newspaper. Chronicle’s fine workmanship is demonstrated through their many awards, including first place in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and All-American in National Scholastic Press Association. Occasionally the 40 member staff issues a literary supplement, which includes poetry and art work submitted by Cathedral students. 1 Cathy Sicbaldi; 2 Peggy Martin, Jean Gianola; 3 Sr. Patricia Feeley; 4 Sue Milette; 5 Donna Labarre; 6 Joe Martins; 7 Sr. Imelda Maria, Kathy Cullen. oS

Pantherpix 1971 expands to include all classes The year 1971 marked a change in the planning of Cathedral’s yearbook. Pantherpix began in 1962 as a small memory book, exclusively for seniors. Its originator, Sister Rose Murray, is honored in the pages of Pantherpix ’71. From these small beginnings, it grew to a somewhat larger book, yet still in paperback form. In 1968 the first hard covered edition of Pantherpix was issued. Now the yearbook has grown to include the members and activities of all four classes at Cathedral. The expansion of the CHS yearbook brought new challenges to the staff. With many attempts at raising funds to cover expenses, the staff has seemingly started a new era in Pantherpix production. 94
