Recapturing the spirit of the Broadway hit, “Bye Bye Birdie,” Cathedral students regressed to teenage mannerisms of the early 60’s. Carol Hahn and Chuck Berube recreated the leading roles of Rosie Alvarez and Albert Peterson. Conrad Birdie, the cause of all the mania, was played by Mike Devine. The MacAfee family consisted of Cathy Donohue as Kim, and Justin Nealon and Maureen Lancaster as her parents. Musicals amuse viewers During the spring of 1970, a group of the boss’s secretary, Cathedral students and Chuck Berube decided to perform playing opposite her “The Pajama Game.” as Hines, , The plot revolves around a time-study man. Babe Williams, played by Mike Devine filled the role of Maureen Lancaster, Prez, the union head. and Sid Sorokin portrayed by Rosemary Rogers Justin Nealon. portrayed a company secretary, Supporting characters included and members Mary Pat Burtt, as Gladys, of the chorale completed the cast. 2. 1 Finding himself in an unusual situation, Chuck if Berube refuses aid offered by Gladys, played by Mary Pat Burtt. 2 Supporting characters including George Landry, Paul Bombardier, Thomas Geurrandeho, and Paul Lamontagne, relax at Hernando’s Hideaway. 3 Caught in a contemplative mood Maureen Lancaster and Justin Nealon sing “There Once Was a Man.” 84
