Basketball As defending Western Mass champs, Cathedral returned to Interschool competition with many veterans from last year and a strong bid to defend the title. The Panthers started with a big game against Holyoke, but were badly beaten 78-60. Throughout the season they had their ups and downs, beating Chicopee Comp and Holyoke Catholic, but losing heartbreakers to Chicopee and Holy Name of Worcester. The cagers trounced Trade three times, but dropped two important contests to Tech. They won their final game with Classical, forcing a playoff for Western Mass, and finished with a 12-8 record.
