World Problems, an elective open to all but freshmen, was added to the history curriculum this year. Classes taught by Sr. Veronica Brown explored such problems as population, pollution, and world government, with the course evolving as one topic led to another. A two-year American history course is available to those who wish a study of greater depth than would be possible in one year. Four sociology classes featured field trips to institutions for the retarded and underprivileged, as well as speakers involved with law inforcement and social work. The annual Model Senate, held on March 11, centered on a welfare bill. 21
